Watersports can be practised by everybody, but watchfulness is essential and we advise you to ask for professional supervision. Sailing is strictly regulated. Ask for information as soon as you arrive. You can find it at the tourist board (Phone : 04.92.44.31.00) or ask the people we refer to below. All of them are certified by the Youth and Sports Ministry and by State diplomas.

The lake of Serre-ponçon (more than 3000 ha wide) is the ideal place to practise watersports. It has received the "yachting resort" label.
You will also find in Hautes alpes more than 500 km of rivers
totally adapted to watersports.

Hydro speed / white water swimming

Equiped with a floater, a wet suit, a helmet and fins you can go down rivers like the Durance or the Ubaye.

Also called Hot-dog or miniraft. Smaller than an ordinary raft, that small boat can accomodate 1-3 people.
Funnier than traditional raft, it requires more experience.
