is only a brief survey of the possibilities available in the valley
and there are lots of other ideas.

The Way of the Cross of the church of Savines is very beautiful,
as are the stained-glass windows.

The lake of Saint Appolinaire is a superb lake with a wonderful
view to the valley After the bridge of Savines, turn right towards
Saint Appolinaire. Behind the lake, you can see the peaks of
Chabrières. You can get there by cable-car on the other
side of the mountain (in Réallon) or by foot.

8 km from Savines and 1100 m above the sea, the abbey of Boscodon
will enable you to learn both about a monument and an exciting
part of history. It was built in 1142 by monks from the order
of Chalais, faithful to the rule of Saint Benoit and close to the

Summer, there are numerous country fairs in the valley. Ask
the tourist board about the dates.

middle of the lake, was saved from water because it was higher
than the dam.

100 m away from the house.

tourist board and go looking for them around the valley.
