The Izoard pass

The Izoard pass is a mythical pass in the Alps, with a height of 2361 m. From Savines follow directions to Embrun, Guillestre, Arvieux then "Col de l'Izoard". Remember to stop in Arvieux for the cheese dairy and at the museum of cycling at the Izoard pass. If you plan to come back by Briançon, that trip will take you a whole day.

During Summer, the Izoard pass is a "shared route".
Some days its access is closed to cars
and reserved to bicycles.
Please contact the tourist board to

check before going there.

Like five other passes in the Alps, the Izoard is a "shared route" during Summer.
The others are the Granon pass, the Moissière pass,
the Noyer pass and the Pommerol / Fromagère pass.
If you enjoy cycling, ask the tourist board and get the guide of shared routes.
It will enable you to benefit from unique conditions.
Each pass is closed to cars for five days during Summer.
