Gapençais
is an area 29 km from Savines le lac. It stretches from Provence
to the mountains. Gap is a step on the "Route Napoléon"
( Napoléon, coming back from the "Ile d'Elbe",
took that road and it was named after him) Gap benefits from
a very mild climate. The "Val de durance", below Gap,
is specialized in orchards and vineyards.
